Man, aren't we becoming advanced? Good day, guys! Now we do another particle , but this kind of our only plausible way to communicate well with the locals; and maybe even impress someone enough to be your boy/girl/etc. friend So yes, you'll get the drifts, but you got this far! I know you can do this!
So, today's new particle is called 'が’ Just か with a てんてん, this is an affirmative particle of sorts; which often answers or affirms a question. This particle always shows us the object of a sentence.
What is an object? It is the thing after the subject we talk about. Eg-:
This is my new chair
The chair is MINE which is why I am the subject. But WHAT do I have? A chair. That's our object!
Now, to do in Japanese. Because English has a very informal article placement and conjugation, it may be tricky... anyway; go ahead and read this!!
おはようございます。
やあ!
ここになんがありますか?
ここに?ああ。。。ここにわたしのこねこがいます。
そうでしょう??おめでとう!!!なんびき*がいますか?
ろっぴき**。
かわいいですね!!だれがあなたのさいしょの子ですか?
けんじ.
Okay, this was a conversation between 2 mother cats. Now count how many time I used が. Found em? Excellent!
Particle が is used as an object indicator; depicting a THING/PERSON that belongs to someone.
Let's practice!
あそこにわたしのじむしつがあります。 Out there is my office.
Here が is used in such sentences because に is our place indicator; WHERE something is, whereas が tells us WHAT we are talking about that we care for. Object is always in the middle of the sentence.
ぱそこんにしゃしんがあります。 In the laptop there are photos.
